The capiz strips catch the light in a way that makes the whole dining room feel warm at night. I was worried it'd look flimsy, but the shell shade is surprisingly sturdy and the four bulbs give plenty of glow.
The light this casts on the dining table is so soft and warm—those shell strips catch the glow in a way plain glass never could. Guests keep asking where I found it, and honestly, it feels like a piece of the ocean hanging in my apartment.
Took me about an hour to hang it, mostly because aligning the capiz strips evenly is fiddly. Once it's up though, those little shell pieces catch the afternoon sun beautifully. Docked a star only because the instructions were pretty bare-bones.
