The silk shade throws the warmest glow across my dining room, way softer than the linen I had before. Took maybe twenty minutes to hang, and the mixed finish on the rings catches light from every angle.
Wasn't sure how a ring-shaped fixture would look over my dining table, but the sleek finish keeps it from feeling gimmicky. The silk shade softens the light nicely without washing out the shape. Two weeks in and it's the first thing guests ask about.
Installed this over my kitchen island and the matte finish looks way more expensive than it cost. My only gripe is the install instructions were pretty thin, but once it was up the silk shade gives off a nice even light.
